Triptorelin – Research-Grade GnRH Decapeptide Analog
Triptorelin is a synthetic decapeptide analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) in which the native glycine at position 6 is substituted with D-tryptophan, conferring markedly greater resistance to enzymatic degradation than the endogenous sequence. This single-residue modification separates Triptorelin structurally from native GnRH and from shorter releasing-hormone fragments such as Gonadorelin, and in laboratory research settings it is utilized as a reference material for studying receptor-binding kinetics, hypothalamic–pituitary signaling models, and structure–activity relationships within the releasing-hormone peptide class. Owing to its defined sequence and D-amino-acid substitution, Triptorelin exhibits physicochemical properties that allow researchers to examine peptide stability, proteolytic resistance, and putative regulatory activity in vitro without reliance on the rapidly degraded native decapeptide.
Its reproducible synthetic profile supports controlled use in mechanistic assays, comparative analog studies against native GnRH and Gonadorelin, and exploratory biochemical research conducted under controlled laboratory conditions. This material is intended strictly for laboratory research use only and is not designed for human or veterinary application.
